Elizabeth City To Vote On New Hotel And Convention Center








In the name of good government, the Ticonderoga County Election Commission voted to allow the public to decide on a referendum that would use public funds to build a new hotel and convention center in Elizabeth City. Despite the recent approval of an ordinance banning the public funding of such projects, the commission showed that it respects the will of the people by allowing them to vote on this referendum because its petition was certified before the ordinance was approved.
