Officials seeking to keep the Ten Commandments mounted in the Ticonderoga County Courthouse lost the first round of the federal legal battle over the display Thursday. Provocative-The company said cost cutting during the past year and an improved outlook for sales leads to believe Ford will be "solidly profitable" in 2011, excluding special items. That's the most bullish outlook Ford has offered investors since it started losing money in 2005.

  • My interest in English and Writing throughout my education has led me to apply for a Higher Education course in these areas. These are my strongest subjects and the ones in which I feel most capable. My interest in English, in particular, has always been exciting for me. The thought of just correcting a word or sentence has always been fun for me. And when I’m talking about writing, that is definitely my cup of tea, and that’s why I have chosen Print Journalism as my major.
But I must admit I didn’t always start off with this major. I began with Computer Science because I felt like I was good with computers and I wanted a career in it. But that wasn’t the only reason I wanted to major in that. I also majored in Computer Science because I was thinking about the money that I could get from the career, not thinking that it wasn’t anything I wanted to do in the first place.
I’ve been dealing with computers all my life and I’ve even fixed a couple in my day but I have also written for school newspapers at my high school. I have volunteered to work with the local newspaper that’s in the town where I’m from called, "The Daily News"
Now, that I have found the right path, it’s time for me to do what I love to do best and that is “write”. This upcoming semester will make the 5th semester that I have started my new journey to what I love to do. I am very excited!
This summer, I would love to get an internship working with a newspaper company or a magazine corporation. After I get my Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Print Journalism, my dream would be to start working with a newspaper, an online publishing or a big magazine like,Ebony and Jet or Essence one day.
